Finished A Wedding in December by Anita Shreve. I read it for the From the Stacks Challenge, and I enjoyed it (but not as much as I enjoyed Testimony; they're two very different books).
A Wedding in December reunites a group of high school friends when two of them get married. (They're all middle-aged, and many of them are married already.) The wedding is hard because (a) the bride has cancer which is expected to eventually kill her and (b) the groom left his wife and daughter to be with the bride (we learn this very early on).
Plus there's also the fact that in high school, another member of the group died suddenly, which most of them haven't really come to terms with.
Well, some of them haven't, anyway.
I'd recommend this although I preferred Testimony.
