Thanks for this one. Just in looking at the cover I would think of two MD's sitting down to talk about pain and wonder if the approach was pretty cerebral or clinical... but that's just judging the book by the cover. I think one of the things I'm learning is that there isn't always purpose to the pain, sometimes there is just pain, it's common to everyone and just because we get a dose or two now and then doesn't mean that someone up there is disapproving, it just is.

It's really not. There are lots of examples of how people overcome bad things.

I think there's generally a purpose for it, even if it's only to build empathy.:)
