Finished The Disreputable History of Frankie Landau-Banks by E. Lockhart for the New Author Challenge.

This book was incredibly fun.

It begins with a letter of apology--Frankie says that she is the mastermind behind a ton of pranks that happened her sophomore year.

Then the book explains how Frankie became said mastermind.

A year before, she was called "Bunny Rabbit" by her family.  And now she's dating a hugely popular guy and, because no one really pays attention to her, somehow infiltrating his secret society (think a dumber and more fun version of the Skull & Bones set at Yale).

A super-quick read and really fun.

No, I started it last night. :)

Although since I'm on this huge YA kick lately, it's not a hard read at all.

I also liked that it was more than just a "no one pays any attention to me" it was a really good feminist manifesto masquerading as a YA book :)

I liked that too. And I liked how the pranks meant something, they weren't just like, "Look at how smart I am."

I ordered a new book from her from the library to see if her style and depth carries out into the other books.
