Free advice; take it for what it's worth
So lostdwarf started it and clippedwings took it and ran with it. Since I am big on following trends, I figured, why not?
1) If you are unhappy--in a job, relationship, city, whatever--change it. Yes, the devil you know is better than the devil you don't. Yes, change is scary. You know what's scarier? A lifetime being as miserable as you are now.
2) If you don't know what to do, listen to the people who love you most. They'll have your best interests at heart.
3) And this is the flipside of 2. If everyone is telling you to do something (or not to do it) and your instincts are disagreeing, think about it hard. But if you still feel you should, do it. (Or if you're still hesitant, don't.) It may be the wrong decision, but you'll feel better if you listened to yourself.

Jeans and a shirt is fashion! They just need to fit you properly!
And I love your advice too. I did #1 when I left my other company. It got to the point where I was trying to figure out how much I had to bleed in order to have an excuse not to get to work.
