Just to be cocky for a moment...

*bows to Kelly's superior prognosticatory abilities*

The pool I'm in only has 12 categories, and I'm 2 for 3. I'm on the air tomorrow at 5:30 AM, so I really have to watch this damn thing till it ends. And the last 15 minutes are where most of the awards are. Grr.
I'm wrong a lot and just by posting this in your face thing, I think I've jinxed Julie Christie. :)
Donald Sutherland jinxed the crap out of her in "Don't Look Now." ;-)

Oh, that was something else.

I want to marry Kristen Chenowith. She has such a cartoonish speaking voice, then WHOA that singing voice comes out of her. Big voice for a 4'10" body.
Yup. In MY face. :)
I thought her speech was so cool, though. It's nice to see somebody really get genuinely geeked over it. Plus, how could she lose? She had to do the whole movie in French. That must've been really hard!

Probably not for her; she's French. ;)

OOOOHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH! lol

I actually did know that--just mocking stupid people.

BTW, Jodi Foster is so fluent in French that she dubs her own films for release in France. As persnickety as the French are about their language, that's saying something.

I figured you did. That's why I put the wink smiley there.

I'd heard that. I think she did some movies in France too for a while there.

Also, can I say that I totally love that you said persnickety?

Yes, you can! ;-)

Are you doing a newscast now, or are you at an ABC?
We're doing the newscast now. :( I had to turn the Oscars off. But I'm DVRing it, so I look forward to watching the rest tomorrow. I did get to watch the death montage (last thing I saw) so that's good.
Thank GOD you're DVR-ing it! Otherwise, you wouldn't know that the lady from Utah won the Dove Soap commercial thing. What a waste of 30 good seconds of airtime.

Oops! I gave it away! Sorry. The entire point to the 39 hour telecast, and I blew it for you. Hahahaha.

By the time this thing ends, it'll be time for me to wake up again. Grr.

I have to post a slideshow of the winners and ABC won't let us until it's over, so I'm watching it all at work after all.

Part of me is like, "I have been here for 16 hours today and 17 hours yesterday and I. Want. To. Go. HOME."

But most of me? It's the OSCARS. :)

Helluva gig this media racket, eh? My Oscar pool results (we had 12 categories to pic, and we had to assign values (1-12) to each):

Tom Sanchez
Nominee Points Assigned Points Earned
No Country for Old Men 10 10
Marion Cotilliard 11 11
Daniel Day-Lewis 12 12
Javier Bardem 9 9
Amy Ryan 5 0
Joel & Ethan Coen (dir) 8 8
Juno 6 6
No Country for Old Men 7 7
Ratatouille 4 4
No End in Sight 3 0
Falling Slowly 2 2
Beaufort 1 0
(78 possible) 69

Second place was 60. Hah!

I guess I'm going to bed briefly. It was lovely watching the Oscars with you tonight. Perhaps we'll do it right some year: (ie, couch, food, Sam, Kitten, no work extant, etc). Hell, we can make catfish and cheese-grits. Yay!

Hope you get some rest soon. t
i love tilda swinton, shes amazing!

Nice! Congratulations. :)

I had fun, too.

If I ever manage to get an Oscars off (which has yet to happen in the six-ish years I've been working in TV), I am throwing a party. You are invited. :)
